Charmander was Mike's first Pokemon he ever had. It evolved into Charmeleon while training for the battle against Corey. It evolved into Charizard at the Seafoam Islands. It has been most helpful when it helped Mike catch Articuno at the Seafoam Islands. The only Gym Battle Charizard hasn't been in is the Cerulean City Gym(comment if I'm forgeting something.)
